Happy Friday friends! I'm so excited to say that I'm officially on Instagram!! EEK! It's so fun and so addicting..which could be a bad thing. Haha! This week my pictures are kind of sparse, not sure why but heres what I've got:

Since she sprained her tail in the pool, she isn't allowed outside now when the boys are swimming. She WAS NOT happy! haha..she wouldn't even look at me. Too funny.

I had a cute car washer! :) He washed his bike too and made the wheels SHINY!

Mani Monday

Today's mani was one that I wanted to try for a long time! It is the caviar or fish egg mani. This is where you apply microbeads to wet polish. It was pretty but impractical and kind of irritating to be honest..haha ;) even with a few coats of top coat the beads were rough, fell off and stuck to everything! ugh..so I took it off the next day.

Instafriday

IT happened..this week I was reminded how hard it is to keep 3 boys entertained on summer vacation. The "I'm BORED!" hit and it hit hard..like crying hard! Not joking, wish I was. The worst part with the boredom is that it causes more fighting. I think its safe to say that I'm glad this week is over and I'm praying that next week is better! So if anyone has some great boredom busters I'm totally open for suggestions!

Father's day present from the boys, which was mainly done by me ;) of course. I followed the tutorial from Ashley. Trust me hers looks a lot  better! But my hubbie loved it and the boys loved "helping" with it.

Thrift store finds :) haven't been in a long time. My intention was to get a hard cover book for my entry way table, got that and a few more goodies! Cheetah print mug for 60cents? um yes please! Oh and a Ball jar for $1! score :) too bad its not aqua..oh well

A MUCH needed trip to the park! The 100 degree heat has taken a break for a few day, thank goodness! So we were able to go to the park and not melt! haha

Homemade soft pretzels, these were pretty easy just a little time consuming; but a great boredom buster!

And I finally finished my summer wreath!! I got the idea from Heather. Can I just tell you that before this I wasn't a chevron fan? Yes I know I'm prob the only person..haha. But I think seeing the bright colors w/ the black & white is what converted me!  I prob had the yarn & felt for close to 2mths before I tackled this one. And once I started I quickly realized why I procrastinated..it took FOR.EVER! yarn wrapping a wreath form is a pain in the booty! And cutting chevron shapes out of felt wasn't that great either, especially once I realized they are prob not even chevron shaped because one side of them is straight..whatevs..just covered them up w/ tons of felt flowers! and the welcome banner is from DearNicole

Mani Monday

Hi friends! Hope you all had a nice weekend :) here is my attempt at sponge gradient..it turned out ok I guess. I think I kept it on for a day ;)  next time I think that I'll just try 2 colors.

Instafriday

This week started off with us going camping..I'm not gonna lie, I DID.NOT. want to go! I'm just over sleeping in a tent, all the packing & unpacking that has to be done, etc.  My boys (all 4)  were excited to go and we went to one of the most beautiful places to camp, Yosemite. So that made up for my apprehension..a little until I realized that we had a BIG bear box we we had to keep everything!! That freaked me out.. We ended up coming back a day early because we nearly FROZE out booties off ! I wasn't too disappointed ;)

This was the first deer sighting we saw! This was as soon as we checked into our campsite. I'm so happy to say that deer were the ONLY animals we saw..besides squirrels but those don't count. haha

Oldest & youngest on the fun water slide @ a bday party. Hayden was SO nervous to go down it! His first try he didn't go down. I had to get him off, but once his big brother waited for him at the bottom he didn't stop the whole time we were there!

Mani Monday on Wednesday!

So I'm a little late, we were out of town on Monday. Had I been on the ball I would've scheduled a post, but that would cause me to plan ahead and procrastinate is my middle name ;)
This is actually a mani from a while back, but my week wouldn't be complete without linking up!

A few crafty things

Just sharing a couple little crafts I did a while ago.. I first saw the "frame" wreath on Jenni's blog and LOVED it! I like hers better :)  when I decided to make this I really wanted to use what I had around the house and not have to make a special trip or buy anything else for it! I spray painted the frame which was a thrift store find. The "M" I think that I picked up for a wreath I never made ;), the eggs & nest were from a vase filler package from Target that I used for Easter decor. The only thing that I did need to buy was the little birds, so the frame did sit for a few days before I was able to and  pick those up for $0.99ea. at Michael's. So total cost was $1.98! Not bad, huh? The only thing I could do without is the BIG FAT white command hook! I tried so hard to make it work w/ ribbon, twine etc. and it never did so I was like forget it! This is just gonna have to work!

This is a chalkboard that we picked up at Ikea. It was a light wood color which bugged me so I sprayed it black. One day I was walking by it and thought it needed something cute added to it so I did my go to for adding cuteness a pennant banner! All of the fabric and the ric rack I had laying around from other projects. All I did was cute out little triangles and hot glued it to the ric rack..easy peasy!

Instafriday

We're in full blown summer mode now! Later bedtimes, lazy mornings and TONS of swimming thanks to my sweet neighbors! :) they gave us their old pool and the boys are LOVING it! We have a community pool, but it is SO nice to have one in our backyard!

This was the day we set up the pool..you can see they couldn't wait! Didn't matter that there was about 6in of water in it!

And this is how its been since its been full! Ginger loves it too, so much that she sprained her tail from swimming too much! Um, yes there is a such thing..we were at the vet on Sunday. Dang dog..

This was on Monday..swimming time was abuptly interrupted by the rain. Not gonna lie..I enjoyed it ;) Hayden found another way to play in the water, it just involved an umbrella! haha

Ruffled nails :) not one of my favs, they looked to Easter egg-ish for me! haha

Mani Monday

This last mani I sort of threw together because I really couldn't decide what to do! I've been on a aqua or blue polish kick lately, that is def my favorite color shade right now! I saw this mani, loved it so I decided to make it my own :)
Here is what I ended up with "minty glitter nails"

I started with 2 coats of I need a refresh-mint, 2 coats of whimsical, then I just kinda placed a bit of the In the spotlight in random spots. For the tips I used one of my larger dotting tools w/ the black sort of connected the dots to create line. Topped w/ my fav topcoat!

Polish I used:

WNW- I need a refresh mint, Revlon- Whimsical, Sally Hansen- In the spotlight (this is SO pretty, its holographic bar glitter!) , Pure Ice- Black rage, 

SV-  topcoat

I've had so much fun getting ideas and inspiration that I had to start a list of the different manis I want to do! :) Thanks for stopping! ♥

Instafriday

Well its officially summer around here! My boys have been out of school for a week and a couple of days ago the heat finally hit and reminded me why I really don't like the summer! We've been trying to get out and do something every other day, but when its really hot that makes it hard to do. Thankfully our neighbors are giving us a pool that is a few feet deep, so that should definitely help!

Crazy boys! Oh the things they do to entertain themselves. The morning I took this they were shoving blankets, pillows, etc. into their pj's and running around like goofballs! I was cracking up :)

I love that I was able to get all 3 cuties in this picture. There is a water park pretty close to our house. The boys love it! We pack a lunch and they play between the water park and the regular park w/ slides etc. Its great, best part -FREE
