I have to admit I never thought of painting our old dated dining room table until I had seen several makeovers on different blogs. It was a big project that I was
REALLY nervous to do! There wasn't anything wrong with our table except that it didn't match the rest of our house, but its perfect for our family and our dining room. So I decided to go for it!

| And here is the AFTER!! I distressed the edges a little here & there.. |

| And this is the after, after, haha! Just to show this is what the table looks like most of the time! |

Overall it went pretty smooth! The only BIG mistake I made was thinking it would be a good idea to paint the top of the table a different color. I was afraid that it would be too dark and too much black. Well not a good idea AT. ALL!! I had color matched Heirloom White in Behr's paint and primer in one, well it was HORRIBLE!!! I think had I gone w/ spray paint it would've been fine, but I didn't. I have no idea why I thought that would be a good idea! I used a foam brush thinking that would remedy brush strokes..uh..NOT AT ALL!! So some sanding later and 2 coats of black spray paint and it was BEAUTI.FUL!! :)
